Marianne Lépinoit, CPA
Senior Finance Executive | CFO | Board Director | Strategic Advisor
A bilingual CPA and senior finance executive with over 25 years of experience across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Marianne has led finance functions through public accounting, mid-market transactions, global CFO mandates, and venture-backed growth.
Her career began at EY, where she developed strong analytical discipline through audit work across Ontario and Quebec. She then served as Corporate Controller at Pollock NationaLease, a Canadian commercial fleet leasing company, contributing to a transformation that culminated in the $75 million divestiture of operating assets to Ryder System.
As CFO of BCA Research, the flagship subsidiary of Euromoney Institutional Investor (a UK-listed global financial intelligence group), she was closely involved in the $112 million USD acquisition of Ned Davis Research, a leading US-based independent investment research firm. She subsequently held a dual CFO mandate overseeing $200 million CAD in combined revenue and 150 employees across Montreal and Florida, leading the integration of finance functions and delivering significant cost savings.
Most recently, she served as CFO and Board Secretary of UpSolv, a Montreal-based cleantech company, where she raised over $40 million, negotiated international partnerships, and built governance, risk, compliance, and ESG frameworks from the ground up.
She is currently completing the ICD governance program. Beyond her executive roles, Marianne chairs the Finance and Audit Committee of Generate Canada, a national non-profit that advances clean energy innovation, and serves as Chair and Treasurer of the Alliance Française de Montréal, a cultural organization dedicated to French language and francophone culture in Quebec, reflecting her commitment to purpose-driven work and community.
She thrives in organizations that value intellectual rigor, high ethical standards, and leaders who are as comfortable with complexity as they are with accountability.
